Incorporating weight training into your routine will cause muscles to be stressed. It’s this stress that will cause micro tears to occur in the muscles. The body’s response is to repair this damage with new thicker fibers… thus causing muscle growth.
The more muscles are stressed the more muscles will continue to grow. However, your body needs time to recover and repair. This occurs during sleep and on rest days.
Another important component of muscle building is nutrition. Nutrition goes hand and hand with training.. muscles need to be fed with protein, fats, and carbs. Macronutrients are key!!
This is a simplified explanation of muscle growth but understanding the basic concept will aid in your success.
We will drive into more detail as we progress.
